To date, I have self-published two books that are still currently available to buy and I will list all of my works and information about them here.

Whispers of a Storm (Book One of the Storm Trilogy)

Paperback First Edition (AuthorHouse 2011)

The inhabitants of the Four Vales have enjoyed over fifty years of relative peace, since its armies defeated the Reven Hordes threatening their homeland. Under the fair rule and guidance of the high duke, its people have thrived and prospered, free from the shadows of war. The Vales are peaceful and the capital city Karick is quiet. But in the gardens of the high duke’s keep, dark plots are whispered and fell deeds being planned. A humble stonemason falls asleep whilst working in the gardens and upon waking, inadvertently overhears a conversation that plunges him deep into the heart of the coming storm. A young noblewoman is to be kidnapped and used as a pawn in this dark game… Whispers of a Storm follows the stonemason and noblewoman’s fortunes as they unwittingly become involved in a dangerous game of survival, as they try to find out what dark storm is about to break out across the Four Vales. Who would seek to unsettle this harmony? Why would they want to? How can the stonemason and noblewoman discover what is going to happen and more importantly, expose those behind the plot, before it is too late. A tale of political intrigue and high adventure, Book One of The Storm Trilogy follows the fortunes of two individuals, whose personal journey of survival may yet help to save and shape the future of their homeland.  **This version of Whispers of a Storm is no longer available to purchase and any copies available are limted first edition**

Whispers_of_a_Storm_Cover_for_KindleThe Kindle Edition for Whispers of a Storm was released on the 12 April 2012. The cover was designed by my good friend Jamie Wallis, who did his best to come up with a cover as close to the idea that I had wanted for the paperback version the year before. At the time AuthorHouse could not put riders into my chosen image and whilst I was happy with the eventual cover, I was always disappointed that the mountains did not look towering and that the absence of riders did not give the cover a human element.

Jamie was also pleased at the new image, as he felt that the orginal cover looked more like an advertisment for the Ramblers Society….although most people had liked the original cover 🙂

I have had positive feeback for the new cover and I shall be using this image when I release a Second Edition paperback version of Whispers in the coming months. ***Update 18/2/2014 – This updated cover is now also the cover for the second edition paperback version of this title***

Vengeance (An Epic Adventure Game Book)

(Paperback Greywood Publishing 2009)
Co-written with Jamie Wallis

As a teenager I was introduced to Role-playing via the Fighting Fantasy Books I had started playing at primary school. Many years later, my good friend Jamie Wallis and I started a company called Greywood Publishing. Our first venture was to produce a Fighting-fantasy styled Adventure Gamebook, written more lovingly as an interactive story, rather than just a straight up quest-a-thon. The book was set in the world I created, The Four Vales, which I had begun crafting for a short story I had written called ‘A costly Sleep.’ Later on, this story would become the first chapter for Whispers of a Storm.

The Gamebook did not ever really have much success and was more a labour of love for us. It was, in my humble opinion, a fine piece of work….perhaps far too hard, but nevertheless a beautiful looking (and hopefully) equally written work.

Whispers_of_a_Storm_Cover_for_Kindle On the 17th February 2014 the 2nd edition version of Book One of the Storm Trilogy was finally released, featuring the brilliant Kindle cover artwork by Jamie Wallis. It was a huge relief for me to finally be able to move on from the trials and trebulations of dealing with Author House and the new version, published by Createspace, looks fantastic.

With a black spine, showing the number 1 in the series, the subsequent books in the Storm Trilogy will keep to the same design.

Here’s hoping for the sequel sooner rather than later!

Shadows of a Storm (Book Two of the Storm Trilogy)

PREVIEW COVER BOOK 2On 24th April 2014 Shadows of a Storm, the second book of the Storm Trilogy was released simultaneously in paperback and on Ebook via Createspace and Amazon KDP. Again, featuring wonderful cover artwork by Jamie Wallis, the sequel to Whispers of a Storm was long overdue, but hopeful worth the wait for the readers who had been very patiently waiting to find out what happens next.

Featuring a black spine again, showing the number 2 in the series, the book, weighing in at a hearty 600 pages complemented the same design as book one on the trilogy.

Venegance of a Storm, currently ear-marked for a May/June release, will feature the same cover design and an, as-of-yet, darker, striking cover for the final book of the trilogy.
